umm...egg drop

I think we could of helped ours if we used a bigger parachute, I guess. We could of put more cotton in it, and used more hot glue to hold it together better. We could of put some tape around the egg to hold it in place and we could of put q-tips on the side to make it better. I made it out of hot glue, popcicle sticks, cotton blobs, a trash bag, and i think thats it. Other groups used stuff like jello, and big trash bags, paper, and stuff like that.

Our egg drop worked in the gym, but when we went to the football field it didnt work. It was probaly because it had a longer drop. We could of made the egg more secure if we knew how to, but we didnt know how to. At the football field the fall was a pretty long fall, but in the gym it was a pretty short distance, and im scared of heights so I didnt go up high. And thats what we did on our egg drop, it was Nici, Alyson, and me.

what I learned at nasa

When I was on my trip i learned that astranouts have died doing their job. They have exploded in the air in fron of everyone, even on live television. I also learned that a killer whale isn't a whale it's a dolphin. I know that is wierd,but its true. I also found out that Galveston has alot of things in the water that would want to eat you, especially sharks. Galveston has a lot of sharks, really dangerous ones too.

diabetes

I just finished a research paper over diabetes....it was pretty interesting i guess....but it was kind of boring. I was going to do Multiple Myeloma but I didn't because My nana has it and My mom didnt think I needed to hear all of that because of the condition that she is in.

8th grade trip..looking forward to

This year we are going to NASA....im excited about the bus. That might be kinda sad,but it's extremely fun, you get to be dorks with your friends. I'm also looking forward to get to be in a boat and see fish and stuff...that will be coolio on the down low. I'm just excited that i will get to be with a bunch of my friends and be myself. :) Really though...who doesn't have fun on a bus?? haha

I learned that the german's made the people walk long distances in the freezing cold. If people couldn't keep up they were shot and killed. Many people died because of the Holocaust.

I learned that Jack London was married to times and both of the girls were kind of funny looking. I know that might sound mean, but it's true. He was an author, and he wrote the book "Call Of The Wild." Our class is about to read that book, and I am kind of excited to be honest, because people has told me that it is a good book. We got to look at a bunch of pictures, and he owned a boat!! That right there is the bomb diggety, I wish I could own a boat. He also has two kids, I want to get two kids when I get older. Well, thats kind of random, but oh well. Any way, COMMENT!!!

I think the Iditarod is awesome. It is so cool, im ready to start reading the book. I'm really excited. Im ready to see what the book is going to be like.

My favorite musher is Lance Mackey, I like him because he is really nice to his dogs and it looks like he has alot of fun when he is out there. I think he is really smart when they are racing in the Iditarod and he sneaks off while Jeff King is sound asleep. I think it's funny when Jeff King wakes up and noone will tell him whats going on and he is getting all mad. Also, I like Bruce Linton, he has to struggle to stay alive, and I think it's cool how he is actually risking his life to race with his dogs. Bruce has diabetes and has to carry around all of his medicene and food with him, if he ever lost his team while he was out there, there would be no way for him to survive. I like DeeDee Jonrowe also, she is so nice to all of her dogs. She is always saying good boys, good boys. I think it's cool how she survived through B-Cancer, and she still goes out there with her dogs and races. There is alot of people out there with soul power, and most of them would rather their dogs be healthy and okay, than winning the race.

DROUGHTS

What causes droughts? Lack of rain causes droughts, it makes the land all dry and puts cracks in the earth. The ponds and oceans and lakes and bodies of water will start getting smaller and smaller. The sun shines down on the bodies of water and of course there isn't any rain, so all of the water starts evaporating.

droughts are happening this very day in Africa! many people there are dying of not getting water. They are also dying of starvation, I wouldn't want to die that way. Many animals like llamas are dying from droughts because they are not getting any water, and the land they live on is getting dried out and getting a lot of cracks!

I, personally, think that droughts shouldn't happen. They just kill thinks or make them very ill, and the world really needs water. Droughts cause a lot of pain for people and animals.

Vacation

If I went on vacation here I would want to be with my family..and someone special. I would probaly want to go to a bunch of restraunts and try new foods, i love food! I would want to go swimming and i would want to watch the sunset with that special person :). I think I would want to go hiking with everyone and look at animals...it would be alot of fun!

Hey, guess wat? I'm doing this project in English and im making a tobaggan, but I am renaming it A redneck Fever Toboggan! It's going to have a pocket on the side to hold your drink....it's going to be awesome.
